25 years of MVISZ - IT at the factory gate and beyond
The Hungarian CIO Association celebrated its 25th anniversary with a full-day conference and gala dinner.
András Tresch from Quattrosodft participated in one of the conference's roundtable discussions with Ferenc Alföldi (Magyar Bankholding, Advisor to the executive management) and Ferenc Gazdag (Head of MVM Digitisation Transformation Centre).
Consulting firms around the world are constantly working to find out the secret to the success of digital transformation efforts, developments and projects. There are studies that estimate/estimate the percentage of successfully completed digital transformation projects at around 30 percent, and it is not uncommon to find studies that put the percentage of successfully completed such projects at single digit percentages, 5-8 percent.
In this roundtable discussion, we will look at the imperatives that must be followed to guarantee transformation success.
- Preparation: when can a company/institution be said to be ready for transformation? And what is the homework that IT managers must do?
- Who should lead the transformation? The business or IT? The digital transformation leader, if any? And if there is none? What is the role of the CEO?
- Transformation also costs money. What all needs to be spent on - what all needs to be cost allocated - when planning the transformation budget?
- How can ROI be understood in the context of transformation?
- What are the imperatives for transformation that can guarantee success?
