VISZ: Safety Net conference
The conference aimed to showcase security solutions and systems that provide everyday protection, including personal, technical and information security. The programme was opened by Róbert Fritsch, President of VISZ, followed by an opening speech by Dr. Judit Fendler, Chancellor of the University of Szeged.
The morning presentations focused on the internal systems and hybrid educational environment of higher education institutions, with Csaba Fekete giving a behind-the-scenes look at the university infrastructure and András Leveli talking about the development of modern educational technologies. István Détári's presentation focused on improving the efficiency of education.
After the coffee break, the round table discussions took place, where participants discussed various security and management dilemmas. Among the topics discussed were the challenges of cloud-based solutions, the role of artificial intelligence in security and attacks, and the dangers of data pollution.
After lunch, Zsuzsa Gárdus gave a presentation on human-centric redundancy processes, followed by Tamás Csinos on the basics of cloud security. Balázs Benyovszky stressed the importance of licence and asset management, while Tamás Pataki presented case studies of projects without a safety net.
The afternoon session included further presentations on topics such as fighting ransomware and protecting flagship projects with the help of distributors. The day concluded with a panel discussion where András Tresch and Ferenc Gazdag discussed the most important aspects of security.
At the end of the event, after the presentation of DAMA, dinner and wine tasting was served at the Hotel Forrás and the Castle Museum.
