IT Experts-Tech Leaders - Cloud for good
The two-day conference held on September 19-20 focused on cloud-based technologies and related key technological trends. Participants were welcomed with impressive presentations and professional discussions, covering cloud computing as well as cybersecurity challenges, data management, artificial intelligence, and space technology.
On the first day, the "Great Amount of Data Comes with Great Responsibility" block explored the possibilities of converting data assets into business value. Attendees could see how artificial intelligence and cloud computing can help monetize data, and AWS tools for effective data management were also presented.
In the HR and business development section, participants learned about Generation Z's appearance in the workplace and the new generation's affinity for technology. At the roundtable discussion starting at 11:50, experts shared their experiences on how to get the most out of Generation Z employees, while the HR Talkshow addressed the issues of recruitment, retention, and motivation.
The afternoon's "Towards the Cloud Without Storm Clouds" block discussed the competitive advantages offered by cloud computing and how to avoid pitfalls. Attendees heard about Fujitsu's hybrid cloud solutions and cybersecurity issues related to the NIS2 directive.
The IT security block presented the current situation regarding the deadline for compliance with NIS2 requirements, where András Tresch, Quattrosoft's expert, also gave a presentation. The day concluded with a roundtable discussion titled "Is Our Brain Ready for the Future?" which examined the relationship between AI and the human brain.
The second day began with technological and strategic trends, where Zoltán Rozgonyi spoke about why global IT trends are not valid in Hungary. Presentations on the lessons learned from the Crowdstrike-caused global IT outage and the challenges of access management were also featured.
In the space technology block, Dr. Orsolya Ferencz, Ministerial Commissioner for Space Research, gave a presentation. The roundtable discussion focused on the goals of the Hungarian space strategy, the planned Hungarian astronaut program, and Hungary's potential role in the region.
The conference concluded with a roundtable discussion examining the possibilities of storing government data in the cloud, which debated the conditions for implementing a digital state, the current situation of cloud migration of government agencies, and related data asset management issues.
The event was attended by key professionals in the field, including András Tresch from Quattrosoft, who participated in the roundtable discussion on the NIS2 directive.
The title of the roundtable discussion was NIS2 follow up, or what the first deadline and the two regulations have brought?
The deadline for self-declaration and registration has already passed with 30 June, and from now on all eyes will be on 18 October, when the grace period for compliance expires. But what happened after the first wave of the NIS2 tide went out? What market changes have been brought about and what sanctions can those who fail to comply with the NIS2 directive after 18 October expect?
