ITC Global Grand Opening 2025 - Digital TransMIssion
The two-day conference in February addressed the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation, focusing on artificial intelligence, data-driven business operations, and cybersecurity issues. The fundamental idea of the event was that digitalization is no longer a matter of choice - leaders who cling to methods of the past may suffer significant competitive disadvantages.
The event was opened by Szabolcs Szolnoki, Deputy State Secretary for Technology at the Ministry of National Economy, emphasizing that technology change and digitalization are essential for the Hungarian economy's "flying start" in 2025, which the government supports with targeted programs. Dr. Viktor Vajda, Technology Regulation Leader at Neumann János Nonprofit Ltd., spoke about ethical and regulatory issues related to AI development, while Iván Vetési, CEO of NISZ Ltd., presented the possibilities of artificial intelligence in customer service processes. Zsolt Bányai, CEO of IdomSoft, provided insight into the daily lives of software developers implementing the Digital Citizenship Program.
In the corporate digitalization block, a roundtable discussion moderated by Gyula Solymos explored issues of effective corporate integration of AI. György Simon, CEO of NeoCon, emphasized the importance of the ethical framework for Big Data and artificial intelligence, while Ferenc Éles from NTT DATA analyzed the digitalization challenges of enterprise management systems. András Leveli, Business and Product Development Director of LSK Hungária, gave a presentation on harmonizing past developments with future business needs.
A roundtable discussion on the challenges of building data-driven companies was moderated by Sándor Magyar, where issues of data strategy, data minimization, and data hygiene were discussed. Árpád Pikéthy, leader of IBM Hungary, analyzed questions of trust in artificial intelligence, highlighting the significance of specialized solutions and smaller, locally runnable models.
In the afternoon's business development and HR block, Anita Nagy, Business Development Director of Schönherz School Cooperative, gave a presentation on the boundaries of artificial intelligence and human thinking, with special regard to HR.
This was followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by Franciska Kiss, where András Tresch, CEO of Quattrosoft, also participated. The discussion focused on competency development challenges in the AI era, highlighting that without appropriate human resources, even the most advanced AI systems remain useless.

In the cybersecurity block, Péter Taál, a Fujitsu specialist, introduced the innovations of VMware-based solutions, followed by a professional exchange on cloud versus local infrastructure issues moderated by István Oláh. The final roundtable discussions focused on developing corporate agility and cyber risk management, with the participation of Tamás Marsi, Department Head of the National Cyber Defense Institute, in the latter.
The conference offered practical solutions to critical issues such as selecting the appropriate IT infrastructure, balancing cloud and physical systems, data security, and human resource management challenges in the era of digital transformation.
